Upgrade of the full-color video LED screen in Ekaterinburg |
"ATV Outdoor Systems" continues a series of LED screen upgrades. The improvements are made not only on ATV-manufactured LED screens but also on LED screens of other manufacturers whose owners requested for ATV's assistance. The upgrades include improvement of image quality and installation of more advanced control system on all upgraded LED screens. One of such upgrades was already described in our News section.
In early August, our specialists upgraded the large full color video LED screen installed in Ekaterinburg. Old LED modules were replaced with new made on advanced and much brighter LEDs.
The upgraded LED screen has a much better brightness and viewing angles. For the first time the system of software-hardware correction was employed that allowed to adjust parameters of LEDs with different bins and make the image uniform.
Terminology:
Bin - is a specially selected group of LEDs close in wavelength and luminous intensity.
LED screen parameters:
- Pixel pitch - 38 mm
- Screen's resolution - 256 x 192 pixels (physical resolution)
- Screen's image area - 9.72 x 7.30 meters
